About Us

The Strathdon Community Art Exhibition celebrated its 14th year in 2017. The exhibition attracted both leading and up and coming artists from interstate and local areas and featured works created through a range of styles and mediums.

Strathdon Community

As an organisation of the Uniting Church, Uniting AgeWell has a long history of providing residential and community services for older Australians in Victoria and Tasmania.

Our focus is on supporting older people to experience a sense of wellbeing, choice and independence at every age and stage of their lives, to feel valued members of their community and to have easy access to the services they need to live the life they want. It’s what we call ageing well.

Strathdon Community is one of Uniting AgeWell’s oldest and largest sites. It started providing services to older people in the local community in 1968 and now offers a diverse range of supports, including residential care, independent living units, day therapy, home care, respite and community services.

Strathdon Community is fortunate to have strong links with Church and community groups who continue to play a vital role in the delivery and development of our services. These groups include the Probus Club of Forest Hill, Whitehorse Life Activities and the Strathdon Quilters. A dedicated team of volunteers support staff, residents and community clients in a range of activities.

The generosity of donors and supporters greatly assists Strathdon to continue providing high quality, dynamic and engaging services to the community.
